On May 28th IFFZ  starts with Beloved, directed by Yaser Talebi, about work, fate and the simplicity of life.
This striking portrait captures one of the last female herders working in the traditional way, a woman who ultimately chooses independence. The movie follows 82 year old Firouzeh, working in the rugged landscapes of Iran across all seasons, as she tells the story of her life.

I have watched ‘Beloved’ at IDFA where it had it’s European premiere here in Amsterdam and met Yaser (director)  and Elaheh (producer -and distributor of Finding Farideh-) afterwards. I highly recommend this stunning portrait of this fiercy lady Firouzeh.

This is only for the Swiss!

Enjoy!
